Making menopause support a visible strength of your workplace culture isn’t optional — it’s smart leadership. When midlife women feel seen and supported, performance improves, loyalty deepens, and experienced talent stays.
Supporting them belongs front and centre in any modern organisation. It’s part of your duty of care as an employer — but it’s also a clear business imperative.
Every day, millions of women manage menopause symptoms while continuing to deliver in demanding roles. The impact is significant: lost productivity, absenteeism and presenteeism cost the global economy more than $150 billion annually. When healthcare costs are included, that figure may exceed $810 billion (Frost & Sullivan).
In the UK, the picture is equally concerning. A late 2023 SimplyHealth survey of over 2,000 working women aged 40–60 found that:
* 23% had considered resigning because of menopause symptoms
* 14% were actively planning to hand in their notice
Even when women stay, the hidden costs accumulate. Sick leave, reduced hours, stalled progression and missed opportunities carry a financial toll. Research from the Mayo Clinic estimates annual productivity losses of $1.8 billion (£1.43 billion) in the US alone.
This is not simply a health issue. It is a retention issue. A productivity issue. A leadership issue.
That’s why we work with forward-thinking organisations to deliver evidence-based, engaging menopause education and midlife support. Whether your goal is awareness, retention, cultural change or leadership resilience, we help you create practical solutions that work — for your people and your business.
