Making menopause support a strength of your business culture should be a top priority. When midlife women feel seen and supported, performance rises, loyalty deepens, and great people stay.
Helping them achieve that belongs front and centre in any business—and it’s a key part of your duty of care as an employer. But menopause support isn’t just personal; it’s a business imperative.
Every day, millions of women navigate menopause symptoms while trying to do their jobs.
The result? Lost productivity, absenteeism, and presenteeism that costs the global economy more than $150 billion annually. When healthcare costs are included, that figure could climb above $810 billion (Frost & Sullivan).
In the UK, the impact is equally stark. A late 2023 SimplyHealth survey of over 2,000 working women aged 40–60 found that:
* 23% had considered resigning because of menopause symptoms
* 14% were actively planning to hand in their notice
And for those who don’t leave? The costs still stack up. Sick days, unpaid leave, and missed opportunities create an enormous financial toll. Research from the Mayo Clinic puts women’s annual losses at $1.8 billion (£1.43 billion) in the US alone.
This isn’t just a health issue. It’s a retention issue. It’s a productivity issue. It’s a leadership issue.
That’s why we help forward-thinking organisations support their midlife employees with evidence-based, engaging menopause education. Whether you’re looking to raise awareness, support retention, or build a more inclusive workplace culture, we’ll help you create solutions that work for both your business and your people.
